Micropayment's Big Potential. Steven Milunovich of Red Herring write about the latest developments in the on-going saga of micropayments including Ron Rivest's solution named Peppercorn. Check out the PowerPoint deck or the math-heavy PDF.

Rough Science. What do you get when you combine CBS' Survivor and the old Mr. Wizard? (You need to be at leat 40 to know that one.) How To Protect Your Company When Your Service Provider Goes Broke. "There it is on the front page of the business section: One of your suppliers just filed for bankruptcy. Your phone rings off the hook. Your CEO asks, 'What happens now?'...If your supplier declares bankruptcy, you lose the right to terminate the agreement unilaterally, which will interfere with your ability to find another supplier, and your supplier can terminate the agreement on little notice without providing you any termination assistance." A short but must-read article by two experienced bankruptcy attorneys. [Source: Outsourcing Center]
