Noise

Occasional and random personal reflections by Doug Kaye.

Organic Fertilizer? Hmmm...this repurchase of Organic and Agency.com by Omnicom so soon after Organic was just taken private by Seneca Investments doesn't smell good to me. FYI, I was VP of Engineering at Organic until I left three years ago.

Gratuitously stupid virus story from Wired News. This story was picked up and reported by Larry Magid on KCBS radio, which I heard on the way home from the gym this afternoon. (Yes, just thought I'd insert that self-praise. I've been pretty good about getting there recently.) Anyway, where was I?

Oh yeah. So Larry's talking about new viruses that can affect images like JPEGs and GIFs, and I'm thinking, "Oh, Larry, you shouldn't have done that. Now you've unnecessarily freaked out everyone listening to you on their way home from work." Thank goodness Cory Doctorow posted a splat of his typical sanity. I only wish he had the audience that Larry Magid, AP Wire, and Wired News have.
